MIO implements a number of technologies that are used to help keep residents safe from a variety of circumstances.  We have a state-of-the-art video surveillance system with long-term recording capabilities.  We also have the ability to monitor entrances, computer labs, and other key areas within the residence halls.  Our video surveillance system has assisted in solving a number of crimes.

All of the residence halls have been outfitted with electronic door access systems.  A resident is able to gain entry to the building using their Titan Card.  MIO is able to dynamically allocate access rights to our residence based on where they live to ensure that unauthorized persons cannot gain entry to our buildings after hours.
