Web Design

The Management Information Office is responsible for the creation and the maintenance of over a dozen websites involving Department of Residence Life's buildings, operations, events, and student organizations.  MIO uses Plone CMS  and Microsoft .Net written in C# to create these websites.

Plone CMS

Plone CMS was officially adopted as the standard form to write websites under the www.uwosh.edu domain name earlier this year.   MIO has been producing Plone websites for about a year for various student groups and the Department of Residence Life.  Here are a couple of the website we have produced:

The Student Recreation and Wellness Center was one of the first Plone sites produced by MIO.  Since its launch in 2007, the SRWC has provided students with information about hours, events, and programs happening at the SRWC.  Check them out here.

The Department of Residence Life website serves as a source of information for incoming and current students living the residence halls.  It provides information to non-students about events and happenings on campus.  Check it out Department of Residence Life.

The Gruenhagen Conference Center website serves as a web interface for non-residents and guests that are looking for a place to stay on the UW Oshkosh Campus.  The GCC website provides information about events such as the EAA Air Venture and the Oshkosh Plaement Exchange (OPE).  Check it out here.

Microsoft .Net

MIO implements .Net written in C# to provide a database driven web interface for the Department of Residence Life's events and activities.  Check them out:

The Oshkosh Placement Exchange (OPE) website serves as a source of information for the annual OPE event held at the Gruenhagen Conference Center in spring.  The website allows incoming guest to reserve rooms and register.  Check it out here.

The MIO Portal, MyUWO, brings together news and information from around the campus. You can get updates from Residence Life, Reeve Union, UW Oshkosh Today, OSA, and much, much more!

Anyone with a UW Oshkosh Webmail account and a student ID can check their TitanCard balance -- including both meals and TitanDollars.

Residents can register devices, check bandwidth statistics, and register for campus housing!  Check it out here.
